Managing Your User Profile

Your user profile contains your personal information and account settings. Here's how to view and update it.

Accessing Your Profile

  1. Click the user icon in the top-right corner
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown menu

Profile Information

Your profile displays the following information:

Personal Details

  • Name - Your full name
  • Email - Your email address (used for login)
  • User ID - Your unique system identifier

Organization & Role

  • Organization - The practice or organization you belong to
  • Role - Your permission level (User, Admin, or Super Admin)
  • Provider Status - Whether you're marked as a provider in the system

Understanding Roles

User

Standard access level. You can:

  • ✅ View all timers
  • ✅ Create new timers
  • ✅ Pause and resume timers
  • ✅ Clear timers
  • ❌ Cannot access configuration settings
  • ❌ Cannot manage users

Admin

Administrative access for your organization. You can:

  • ✅ Everything a User can do
  • ✅ Access the Config panel
  • ✅ Add/edit rooms
  • ✅ Add/edit providers
  • ✅ Manage organization users
  • ❌ Cannot access Super Admin features

Super Admin

Full system access across all organizations. Super Admins can:

  • ✅ Everything an Admin can do
  • ✅ Manage multiple organizations
  • ✅ Switch between organizations
  • ✅ Access the Super Admin panel

Provider Status

If you're marked as a Provider, your name will appear in the provider dropdown when creating timers. This is typically used for practitioners who perform treatments.

Note: Only Admins can change your provider status. Contact your organization administrator if this needs to be updated.

Account Security

RoomTimers uses Google OAuth for authentication, which means:

  • 🔒 Your password is managed by Google
  • 🔒 Two-factor authentication is supported (through Google)
  • 🔒 You can sign out at any time by clicking your profile icon

Updating Your Information

Most profile information is synced from your Google account. To update:

  • Name/Email - Update in your Google account settings
  • Provider Status - Contact your organization admin
  • Role - Contact your organization admin or Super Admin
